When we travel to Reunion Island, we generally go to the South of the island and stay at Palm Hotel and Spa, a beautiful 5* hotel in Grand Anse, a 20min drive from Pierrefonds airport.

Restaurant Chez Ti Fred is just one of the best restaurants in the area – we still talk about our lunch there! Don’t forget to book, it’s tiny – the chef is a character, but wow, is the food good?

The Waterfall of Grand Galet, located a good 45 min drive from St Joseph in the south of the Island of La Reunion are just amazing to visit. Fabulous scenery, great hikes and just a striking nature! As always, in my posts from the sister island, there is a restaurant not far!

Reunion island is a lot about nature and there are so many hikes available – for all ages and fitness levels. This one is a small easy 4km hike on Piton de Grande Anse. I did it with my kiddos 1! Stunning nature and quality times with my girl.

A great thing to try in Reunion Island is a guided walk in the Lava Tunnels. Reunion island has a very active volcano and it is possible to wander underground. A great morning out for the whole family.
